Bespoke Conveyor System

Over many years Texam have acquired specialist skills in the design and manufacture of bespoke conveyors used to convey heavy items, up to 20 tonnes. Our systems are used in assembly line processes by manufacturers of heavy industrial goods such as generator sets and fork lift trucks.

Bespoke Materials Handling Equipment

Our services include the design of specialised materials handling equipment. These bespoke pieces of equipment are used in heavy engineering environments where product rotation and stability are key elements of the manufacturing process. Texam design and build bespoke heavy duty roller conveyor systems primarily used in assembly line production. We have designed powered roller conveyor systems to convey loads up to 20, 000kgs. Applications have included electric generator production lines and fork lift truck assembly lines. Our services include conveyor design, possible layouts, installation and CE Marking. We have designed roller conveyor systems for customers in the UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Nigeria. Our systems are designed in a modular format that enables the easy add on of additional modules should the need arise or even a complete reconfiguration to accommodate a new production process. Conveyor frames are manufactured from mild steel and finished with a powder coated paint surface and colour of your choice. Rollers are BZP and chain driven. In fill plates can be added between the rollers if required.

 

Modular Roller Conveyors

Texam Ltd act as systems integrators for several European conveyor component manufacturers. Using standard conveyor modules we configure conveyor systems to suit exact customer requirements. Our design concepts are modular based. This means that you can add additional modules to any existing equipment with relative ease. Standard modular type conveyors include gravity roller conveyors, lineshaft roller conveyors, level belt conveyors, chain driven roller conveyors, and pallet conveyors. All our systems include full technical support.

 

Overhead Conveyor System

Using modular overhead chain rail systems we can design overhead conveyor systems to convey products at high level and then return them to lower levels. This allows flow through paint lines, box delivery systems, accumulation carousels and wide variety of other industrial processes.

Gravity Roller Conveyor System

Gravity roller conveyors are an ideal solution for conveying boxes and cartons with a flat base and low centre of gravity. Movement is attained by having the loading end of the conveyor slightly higher than the unloading end. The angle of decline on the conveyor system depends on the weight of the product and the speed of movement that is required. Gravity conveyors provide a low cost and maintenance free solution for conveying products. Standard options include a range of different roller diameters, roller pitches and roller widths. Rollers can be manufactured using plastic tube, mild steel or stainless steel tubes. Other options include speed control rollers, side guides and roller bends to turn product. Standard frames are constructed using mild steel with a powder coated paint finish. All of our conveyors are supplied with a height adjustment range of 200mm. We can also supply stainless steel frames and rollers if required. Typical applications for gravity roller conveyors include general conveying within warehouses, order picking systems and simple assembly line processes. Texam gravity roller conveyors are manufactured on a made to measure basis, they are often incorporated and used as part of a larger conveyor system.

Lineshaft Conveyor System

Lineshaft conveyors are generally an entry level powered roller conveyor system for applications requiring controlled and unaided movement of boxes and cartons. Typically line-shaft conveyors are used as transfer conveyors in packing and logistics operations, order picking systems and production lines. Line-shaft conveyors work by having a round belt fitted on to each roller that is in turn driven by a longitudinal drive shaft running along the full length of the conveyor. Individual driven lengths can be up to 20m per drive but depend on the weight of the product being conveyed, the number of transfers required and also the number of personnel access points required. Side frames are manufactured from mild steel and finished with a powder coated paint surface. Rollers are 50mm Diameter and can be set at different pitches depending on the base size of the boxes being conveyed. Standard options include personnel lift up gates, corner turns, side transfer units, side guides and blade stops. A range of roller widths and roller pitches is also available.
